SIOUX CITY, Iowa The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that Central Methodist's Jessie Wilmes, Katie Moeller, Jenalee Cologna, Alyson Ewigman, Madi Watson, Lindie Adair and Kayla Taylor are among the 382 softball student-athletes to have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Wilmes is a junior outfielder from Flint Hill, Mo., Moeller is a senior pitcher from Hazelwood, Mo., Cologna is a senior infielder from Springfield, Mo., Ewigman is junior pitcher from Brookfield, Mo., Watson is a junior infielder from Blackwater, Mo., Adair is a senior infielder from Boonville, Mo., and Taylor is a junior infielder from Arnold, Mo.

William Carey (Miss.) leads all NAIA institutions with 10 individuals on the list. Central Methodist is tied for third on the Scholar-Athlete list with seven individuals, joining Bethel (Tenn.) and Point Park (Pa.). Midland (Neb.) has the second-most softball Scholar-Athletes with nine.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director for this honor, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
