Rolla, Mo. - The Central Methodist Track and Field program saw three more athletes qualify for the NAIA National Championships at the Miner Invitational this past weekend.
The two day meet was hosted by Missouri S&T in Rolla, Missouri.
Central's three qualifiers were Diane Ondobo (400m), Renee Finke (High Jump), and Colder Evans (Discus).
Ondobo qualified for nationals after running the 400 in a new personal best time of 55.75 seconds. She would place first in the event out of 19 other competing athletes.
Finke won the high jump, clearing a height of 1.68 meters to punch her ticket to nationals for the third consecutive year. She also placed second in the 100m hurdles (14.46).
Colder Evans secured his spot at nationals in the discus after a throw of 49.04 meters. He would ultimately finish fourth in the discus and fifth in the shot put (15.76m).
Zakiya Porter finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 12.16 seconds. Parys Smith finished third behind Finke in the 100m hurdles, crossing the finish line in a time of 14.55.
Aroa Carballo placed second in the 400m hurdles after running a time of 1:04.44.
In the throws, Kali Brown threw 41.36 meters in the discus to place second while Brayton Stephenson finished third in the shotput with a toss of 16.60 meters.
Central returns home to host the CMU Invite beginning Friday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Davis Field and Hairston Track.
The two-day event will include Saturday, March 29.
