Lawrence, Kan. - The Central Methodist Track and Field program continued its opening weekend of indoor competition at the Bob Timmons Classic Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas.
On the men's side, Brayton Stephenson hit the national qualifying 'B' standard in the shot put with a throw of 16.45 meters to place third, a new personal best.
Colder Evans finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 16.54 meters, while Wyatt Smith placed fourth with a throw of 13.52 meters.
Senior Doriye Jackson placed second in the 1000m run in a time of 2:38.34. Jacchaeus Taylor followed, and placed fourth after crossing the finish line in 2:44.67.
Hugo Massa won the 800m run with a time of 1:57.38.
On the women's side, super senior Karli Wolfe hit the national qualifying 'A' standard in the weight throw with a toss of 18.36 meters. She ultimately finished second in the event.
Newcomer Diane Ondobo competed in the 600 yard run and finished fourth in a time of 1:27.79. Allena Rowland placed fifth in the 800m run, crossing the finish line in 2:23.66.
The Eagles will next compete in the Concordia Early Bird Open Saturday, Dec. 14 in Seward, Neb.
