Marion, Indiana - The Central Methodist Men's Track and Field program was represented by 11 athletes in 10 different events at the 2024 Outdoor Track and Field National Championships this week in Marion, Indiana. 

Central brought home a trio of All-Americans at the week's conclusion. 

Junior sprinter Leroy Williams IV led the effort for CMU with a fourth place finish in the 110m hurdles. The junior from Cypress, California ran a preliminary time of 14.24 seconds to advance to the finals, where he then posted a new personal best of 13.97 seconds to place fourth. 

Hunter Mont Cary competed in the men's decathlon on Tuesday and Wednesday, racking up 6353 total points to finish seventh. Cary's best event in the two-day marathon came in the shot put, where he placed fourth with a toss of 12.54 meters. He also finished sixth in the high jump, discus, and javelin.

Fellow junior Colder Evans rounded out the All-America honorees for the Eagles, as the native of Unionville, Missouri placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 49.96 meters. Additionally, Evans competed in the shot put, where he finished 28th with a throw of 15.09 meters. 

Brayton Stephenson was right behind Evans in the shot, placing 29th with a toss of 15.03 meters. 

Ethan Smith also competed in the decathlon alongside Cary, finishing 15th with 4349 total points. He posted a third place standing in the shot put with a throw of 13.09 meters, and fifth in the discus with a toss of 35.55 meters. 

The men's 4x100m relay team of Adam Trachsel, Chris Adekoya, Williams IV, and Caleb Cody-Jackson ran a preliminary time of 40.58 seconds to set a new school record and advance to Friday's finals. However, the quartet were unable to finish the race in the finals. 

Adrian Watson ran in the 400m hurdles, placing 29th with a time of 1:02.22. 

Adekoya ran a preliminary time of 10.36 seconds in the 100m dash to qualify for the finals on Friday. But an injury sustained in the prelims prevented the junior from competing in the finals. 

Senior Exavier Coburn finished 11th in the 5,000m racewalk, placing 11th with a time of 25:31.69. Freshman Viktar Kachalouski cleared a height of 1.97 meters in the high jump to place 29th.
