Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior thrower Taylor Bottomley continues to add to his impressive resume, as he was named the NAIA National Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week by the national office Wednesday
Bottomley, a native of Harrisburg, Mo., was also named the Heart Field Athlete of the Week Monday after a stellar showing at the Friends Invitational this past weekend. He broke his own record in the weight throw with a mark of 20.21 meters, more than four meters better than second place.
In addition, Bottomley also finished first in the men's shot put with a throw of 16.15 meters, putting him above all 23 competitors.
Central will next compete in the Dutch Athletics Classic Saturday, Jan. 15 in Pella, Iowa.
