Jefferson City, Mo. – The Central Methodist track & field programs continued outdoor competition at the Lincoln Open hosted by Lincoln University Saturday afternoon in Jefferson, Mo.
On the women's side, Karli Wolfe hit a new PR finishing second in the shot put with a final throw of 11.97m.
In the discus, Olivares hit a PR to claim a second-place finish with a final toss of 39.44m. Kaitlyn Weber finished first in the long jump with a mark of 5.43m, while Sarah Johnson claimed the third spot at 5.11 meters. Weber also competed in the triple jump, finishing in second place with a new PR of 11.21m.
Freshman Antonia Randle competed in the high jump, finishing in third with a jump of 1.45m. Amara Reichert grabbed first place in the pole vault with a final jump of 2.89m. Calyssa Plymell threw a new PR of 36.10m in the javelin, good enough for second place.
Gaines and Antoinette Flowers finished first and third in the 100m dash with final times of 12.96 and 13.38 seconds respectively. Dyana Montenegro ran the 400m dash in 59.66, good enough for third place. Johnson finished fourth in the 400m hurdles with a final time of 1:13.27. Flowers and Abbie Hale competed in the 200m dash, posting second and third place finishes with times of 26.31 and 26.87 seconds respectively.
Taylor Bottomley finished first in the shot put with a throw of 15.68m, over two meters further than second place. The senior also claimed second place in the discus throw with a final toss of 48.50m, hitting the 'B' standard to qualify for nationals.
Hayden Hackman claimed the third spot in the shot put with a throw of 12.81m and fourth in the discus throw with a toss of 41.20m. In the long jump, the Eagles swept first, second, and third places with Joe Slattery leading the way with a 6.33 mark. Kaleb Bramman came right behind with 5.35m and Ja'Sean Northington followed with a 5.33m jump. Slattery also competed in the triple jump, finishing in third place with a final mark of 12.35m.
Jacob Fritz came in second place in the high jump hitting 1.90m. Robert Jerrick and Hackman finished second and third in the pole vault with 4.40 and 4.25 marks respectively.
Brennan Moots competed in the 110m hurdles finishing with a time of 15.88, good enough for second place. Mohamed Nyaoga finished third in the 400m dash with final a final time of 49.02. Alex Ayala ran 55.59 seconds in the 400m hurdles, good enough for third place.
Curtis Johns placed fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 22.01 seconds. The 4x400 team of Hackman, Nyaoga, Colyer and Fritz finished in second place in the event with a final time of 3:17.14, hitting the National Qualifying 'B' Standard.
Central will next compete at the UCM Mule Relays on Friday, April 16 in Warrensburg, Mo.
