CMU Cheer Finishes Fifth at NCA National Championships

Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Central Methodist University Co-Ed Competitive Cheer team competed at the 2025 NCA National Championships this past weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Eagles competed in the Intermediate Small Coed NAIA Division, which featured nine different NAIA programs from around the country.

CMU posted a preliminary score of 78.43, securing a third place standing heading into the finals Friday. The Eagles concluded the weekend with a finals score of 78.67 to finish fifth.

Roosevelt won the championship with an event score of 84.23, followed by Friends University (80.46), Park (79.76) and Cumberland (78.26).

Eddie also competed in the mascot challenge, finishing in a tie for 15th with an event score of 77.94.
