BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Central Methodist University coed cheer team opened the competition season at the Baker Invitational on Friday evening.
The Eagles finished in the middle of the 12-team field, taking sixth place in the competitive cheer standings. The squad finished with scores of 71.4, 71.7, and 64.8 from the three judges. The scores resulted in a sub-total of 69.3, followed by a 1 point deduction. The final score for the Eagles was 68.3.
Lindenwood-Belleville won the competition with a 78.83333 final total, followed by Benedictine in second and Missouri Valley in third.
Central Methodist coed cheer will return to action tomorrow, Feb. 2, at the Benedictine Challenge. The competition is set to begin at 2 pm in Atchison, Kan.
