BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Central Methodist took sixth-place overall in the 2014 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Spirit Squad Competition on Saturday in Baker's Collins Center. The Eagles totaled 128.26 points.

The Eagles placed second in the cheer all-girl division with 64.26 points to Avila (Mo.), which captured the HAAC title. Benedictine (Kan.) finished third in the event.

Central Methodist finished third with 64 points in the small dance division to Baker and Missouri Valley.

In the Cheer CO-ED competition Missouri Valley was awarded first-place and Graceland took second, while Baker finished third.

The large dance championship was awarded to Avila, with Graceland (Iowa) taking second and Benedictine coming in third.

In the final competition of the day, Avila again came out victorious with a first-place finish in the Hip Hop dance, while Graceland took second and Missouri Valley was third.
