The Central Methodist University spirit squad earned a runner-up finish in hip-hop dance and a third-place finish in all-girl cheer at the Heart of America Athletic Conference cheer & dance championships, hosted by Culver-Stockton College Saturday.

Central Methodist was one of eight HAAC schools who had teams competing at the HAAC championships Saturday. CMU finished second in hip-hop, while placing third in all-girl cheer. The third-place finish in all-girl cheer earned Central Methodist a bronze bid to the NCA/NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship, scheduled for April 6-10 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
