Fayette, Mo. – Central Methodist senior Foster Seitz was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week by the conference office Monday.
It marks the first Heart weekly honor of Seitz's career.
The St. Louis, Missouri native helped the No. 14 Eagles to a dominate showing at the Cajun Collision in Sterlington, Louisiana this past weekend.
Seitz delivered an outstanding performance Friday against No. 22 Tabor, throwing a complete-game shutout. The right-hander gave up only four hits, one walk, and tied his CMU career high with nine strikeouts.
The Eagles are starting the season off strong, boasting a 6-2 overall record with a four-game win streak.
