Kansas City, Mo. - The Central Methodist Baseball program jumped back into the NAIA National Baseball Coaches' Top 25 poll, which was announced by the national office this week.
CMU lands at No. 21 after a month hiatus from the national rankings.
Central currently sports an overall record of 22-10 and 12-2 in the Heart. After a slow start to the 2023 campaign, the Eagles have rattled off eight consecutive wins, including back-to-back series sweeps over Benedictine College and Baker University.
In addition, CMU secured a series split with 2022 NAIA World Series participant MidAmerica Nazarene in mid-March.
Central will travel to Springfield, Missouri to take on the Evangel Valor for a weekend series beginning Friday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m.

Poll Methodology
- The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
