KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2019 Baseball All-America teams as selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches' Association All-America Committee.
Mason Schwellenbach (JR/Saginaw, Mich.) was named to the NAIA All-America Honorable Mention team after a stellar junior campaign. He was also tabbed as a First Team All-Conference pick as a pitcher and the third base position and was named the Heart Pitcher of the Year.
From the bump, Schwellenbach posted an average of 13.19 strikeouts per game and finished the season with a perfect 8-0 record. He wrapped up the season with an ERA of 2.47 and totaled 107 strikeouts through 73 innings, also posting an impressive season-high of 17 strikeouts against Benedictine in April.
At the plate, Schwellenbach had a .290 batting average, tallying 9 homeruns and 32 RBIs on the season. He also finished in the field with a .907 fielding percentage on 75 chances.
