With the victories, Central Methodist improves to 31-13 overall and 16-7 in The Heart. CMU has now won six straight games, and sit just a game and a half behind Grand View University for first place in the Eastern Division in The Heart. Missouri Valley College falls to 21-24, and 11-13 in The Heart with the two losses Sunday.

Game one featured a slugfest between the Eagles and Vikings. The two teams combined to score 31 runs on 32 hits, and the teams combined to make eight errors in the game.

Neither teams scored until the third inning. From there on out, Central would tally two or more runs in each inning to end the game. The Vikings on the other hand failed to score any runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, after CMU had put up four runs in the top half of the inning. The Eagles held on for the late 16-15 comeback victory in game one.

Offensively, Central was led by first baseman Logan Bradley (Farmington, Mo.), who finished 3-for-5 at the plate with two homeruns, six RBI's and three runs scored. Austin Fridley (St. Genevieve, Mo.) finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI's.

In game two on Sunday, the bats stayed hot for Central, while the Eagles pitching staff shut down the Vikings offense.

Central put up seven runs in the top of the second inning, on their way to a 12-3 victory. In the win, the Eagles outhit the Vikings 13-6.

CMU starting pitcher Dustin Dalton (St. Peters, Mo.) picked up the win (2-0), tossing 4.2 innings, while allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts and a walk.

Reliever Jeremy Karasewski (Cortland, Ill.) came in to relive Dalton, and tossed 2.1 scoreless and hitless innings, while striking out two.

Joba Ferrell (Chicago, Ill.) continued his offensive tear from the top of the order, finishing a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI's. Quinn Conley (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) drove in four runs and Aldo Adamus (Curacao) drove in three runs and also scored once.
�
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday, back at Estes Field when they host Harris-Stowe State University in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 1pm.
