Ferrell earns second HAAC Player of Week award

KANSAS CITY - For the second time this season, Central Methodist junior outfielder Joba Ferrell has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Baseball Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

In two games against Missouri Valley, Ferrell batted 0.714 with three homers, four RBIs, five runs scored and one intentional walk. The Chicago product also posted a 2.0 slugging percentage and went 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts.

Ferrell, celebrating his 21st birthday Monday, leads the HAAC and ranks 26th in the NAIA in home runs (9). He is 49th nationally in stolen bases (19) and at bats per game (3.8).
