Fayette, Mo. - The No. 11 Central Methodist Women's Wrestling team earned a 27-18 victory over No. 20 nationally ranked and fellow Heart institution Baker University 27-18 Wednesday night inside Puckett Field House. 

Following three-straight open matches, Baker got the first dual victory of the evening as Kylee Slyter of Baker knocked of CMU's Abigail Jastal by pin in the 109-pound bout. 

The Wildcats would earn two more consecutive victories at 116 and 123. Junior Corinne McClure earned a convincing 15-4 Tech Fall win at 130, followed by 10-0 Tech Fall victories for Skye Realin and Lillian Gough at 136 and 143. 

The finale featured the No. 1 wrestler in the country in CMU's Caitlyn Davis vs. No. 3 nationally ranked Kaylyn Albrecht of Baker. Davis would just edge Albrecht in a close 10-7 decision. 

Central will next compete in the Grand View Open Saturday, Feb. 4 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.
