York, Neb. - The No. 10 Central Methodist Women's Wrestling team took part in the York Open Saturday morning in York, Neb. The Open featured more than 30 schools from both the NAIA and community College ranks. 

Sophomore Allison Hynes had the best outing of the day for Central, posting a first place finish in the Freshman/Sophomore 123 pound bracket. The native of Broken Arrow, Okla. posted a 4-0 record, with three of those wins coming by Fall. 

Lillian Gough placed fourth at 143 pounds with a final record of 4-2. Shianne Whited also finished fourth at 170, matching Gough with a 4-2 record.

Central is set to host Missouri Valley College Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7:00 p.m. CMU will also recognize its 2022-23 Women's Wrestling Senior Class.
