Fayette, Mo. - In a showdown of two nationally ranked programs, the No. 10 Central Methodist Women's Wrestling program edged No. 11 Iowa Wesleyan Tuesday night inside Puckett Field House. 

After both weights were open in the 101 pound match, CMU's Victoria Nunez got the first victory of the night via a pin in the 109-pound bout. 

The Tigers then rattled off five straight victories to take a 19-8 lead in the dual. 

No. 1 nationally ranked and reigning Heart Women's Wrestler of the Week, Caitlyn Davis, started Central's comeback with a Tech Fall victor over Emma Cole in the 155-pound match. 

Sophomore Shianne Whited pinned her opponent in just 1:41 in the 170-pound bout, cutting Iowa Wesleyan's lead to 19-17 entering the final match of the evening. 

No. 5 nationally ranked Jaycee Foeller earned a Tech Fall at 191 pounds, giving Central four crucial team points and the 21-19 victory over the Tigers. It marks Central's fourth victory over a Top 20 program in the last week. 

Central is set to compete in the York Open Saturday, Dec. 14 at 9:00 a.m. in York, Neb.
