Vitor Furiati enters his second season as a graduate assistant with the women's volleyball program in 2025.
In his first year with the Eagles, Coach Vitor helped lead the team to a 26-8 record and a Heart of America Regular Season Conference Championship. Vitor coached seven Heart All-Conference selections and two AVCA All-Midwest Region athletes. Additionally, he was apart of the program's seventh consecutive trip to the NAIA National Tournament.
Furiati comes to CMU after four-year career as a member of the men's volleyball program at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. During his sophomore campaign in 2021, Furiati led the Vikings to a third-place finish in the Heart of America Athletic Conference while also securing a bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
He has additional experience playing for the Olympico Club in his home country of Brazil. Furiati played five seasons of club volleyball, taking his team to a pair of national tournaments in 2017 and 2018.
Upon graduating from MVC with a double major in Business Administration and Sports Management in 2023, he began serving as an assistant for Coach Coleman Lee's club program, 417 Columbia. Furiati coached the 15-1s, who would qualify to Power League One and win the Show Me National Qualifier. As a result, they earned a bid to go to the national tournament in the summer of 2024.
He also coached and coordinated a number camps and clinics at Rio Volleyball Club in Atlanta, Georgia during the summer of 2021.
Furiati originally hails from Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
