Vitor Furiati enters his first season as an assistant coach with the women's volleyball program in 2026 after serving as a graduate assistant for the previous two seasons.
During his time as a graduate assistant, Furiati helped guide the Eagles to a 49-16 overall record, a Heart Regular Season Championship, and the program's seventh consecutive appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in 2024. Through two seasons on the CMU coaching staff, he has helped coach 12 Heart All-Conference selections and two AVCA All-Midwest Region honorees.
Furiati joined the Eagles following a four-year playing career at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. He helped lead MVC to a third-place finish in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and an NAIA National Tournament berth during his sophomore season in 2021.
A native of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Furiati also spent five seasons competing for Olympico Club, helping the program qualify for national tournaments in 2017 and 2018.
Following his graduation from Missouri Valley College in 2023 with a double major in Business Administration and Sports Management, Furiati joined Coach Coleman Lee's club program, 573 Missouri Juniors (formerly 417 Columbia), as an assistant coach. He coached the club's 15-1s team, which qualified for Power League One, captured the Show Me National Qualifier championship, and earned a bid to the national tournament in the summer of 2024.
Furiati also coached and coordinated camps and clinics at Rio Volleyball Club in Atlanta, Georgia, during the summer of 2021.
