Lexington, Ken. - For the sixth straight season, the Central Methodist Volleyball program earned the AVCA Team Academic Award by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association, which was announced Thursday afternoon. 

The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

This marks the 10th time in the last 11 seasons that Central has earned the distinction. They were recognized for four consecutive years from 2016 to 2019, and now, for six straight years from 2021 to 2026. As a program, the Eagles finished the year with a final team GPA of 3.57. 

On the court, Central finished 2025 with an overall record of 23-8 and a 13-5 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
