Hake Named Heart Defender of the Week

Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist junior middle hitter Summer Hake was named the Heart of America Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week by the conference office on Monday.

It marks the first Heart weekly honor for the native of Jefferson City.

Hake helped lead the Eagles to a perfect 5-0 record on the week, which included four sweeps. She tallied 23 blocks in those five matches while also hitting .405 with a total of 25 kills on 47 attempts.

Hake and the Eagles have earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Heart of America Conference Tournament. The Eagles will square off against No. 5 seeded Park in the quarterfinals Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
