Kansas City, Mo. - For the second time in 2023, Central Methodist senior libero Krystal Brauner was tabbed as the Heart Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week by the conference office Monday. 

The Jefferson City, Mo. native also won the honor back on Sept. 4. 

Brauner was instrumental in leading the Eagles to a 3-0 record this past week, of which all three victories came in straight sets. 

She averaged 5.0 digs and 1.11 assists/set. In the win over Mount Mercy Saturday, Brauner tallied 25 digs and seven assists.

Brauner and the Eagles are currently 5-1 in the Heart of America, and will next host No. 8 nationally ranked Park University Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
