Fayette, Mo. - The No. 16 Central Methodist Volleyball dropped a hard fought contest to (RV) MidAmerica Nazarene University in four sets Friday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central fell to the Pioneers by scores of 24-26, 19-25, 26-24, and 25-23. With the defeat, Central snaps its five-game winning streak, falling to 12-5 and 6-4 in conference action. MidAmerica Nazarene keeps its perfect record intact at 16-0 and 9-0 in the Heart.
Callie Henson lead Central's offense with 15 kills, in addition to four digs and two blocks. Freshman Joana Milho also landed in double-figures with 10 kills on 18 swings. She also added a pair of blocks.
Annabelle Maassen nearly earned a double-double with nine kills paired with 13 digs. In addition, the native of Jefferson City, Mo. led Central's servers with three service aces.
Yenne Schepers matched her career-high with a team-leading 28 assists, along with eight digs and two service aces. Gabi Owczarek also reached out double-digit assists with 16.
Krystal Brauner recorded 24 digs to lead the defense. Overall, Central's defense tallied 12 blocks, led by Delaney Miller with four.
Central turns around to take on No. 11 Park University Saturday, Oct. 1 at 2:00 p.m. in Parkville, Mo.
