Des Moines, Iowa - The No. 15 Central Methodist Volleyball program suffered a three-set sweep at the hands of Grand View University by scores of 21-25, 22-25, and 18-25 Friday night in Des Moines, Iowa.
Central falls to 7-3 and 1-1 in conference play, while the Vikings now stand at 2-9 and 1-2 in the Heart.
It was a struggle offensively for Central, as the Eagles finished the evening with a .062 hitting percentage, while the Vikings compiled a hitting percentage of .265. Junior middle blocker Delaney Miller was the most efficient Eagle, tallying six kills on 10 swings with a pair of solo blocks.
Senior setter Marina Alonso dished out 12 assists and recorded seven digs. Krystal Brauner recorded 21 digs and picked up three service aces.
Central concludes its weekend roadtrip of Iowa with a matchup against William Penn Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1:00 p.m. in Oskaloosa.
