No. 12 Central sweeps Wildcats in Baldwin City

Baldwin City, Kan. - The No. 12 Central Methodist volleyball team swept Heart foe Baker University by scores of 25-16, 25-22, and 25-17 Friday night in Baldwin City, Kan.

With the win, the Eagles improve to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in conference action. The Wildcats fall to 2-10 and 0-1 in the Heart.

Annabelle Maassen and Callie Henson led the offensive charge with eight kills apiece, while Jordan Wolfe tallied seven. Marina Alonso dished out a team-high 22 assists through three sets played while Gabi Owczarek finished the evening with 15.

Maassen also led the defense with 11 digs followed by Krystal Brauner with eight. Delaney Miller picked up four block assists, and as a team Central held Baker to just a .182 attacking percentage.

CMU will next host Benedictine College Saturday, Sept. 18 at 6:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
