Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist volleyball team took down Missouri Valley College in straight sets by scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-19 Wednesday night in Marshall, Mo. 

With the win, the Eagles improve to 8-3 overall and 6-3 in the conference, while MVC finishes their season with an overall record of 2-12 and a conference mark of 1-11. Tonight's win marks the seventh time this season CMU has claimed victory in straight sets. 

Grace Stumbaugh led the Eagles' offensive push with eight kills while Jordan Wolfe, Callie Henson, and Rebecca Neighbors each collected seven. Elise Hardesty-Irvin took dished out a team-high 20 assists, followed by Shannon Peters who added 10. Annabelle Maassen was solid from the service line, finishing the match with three service aces.

On the defensive side, Krystal Brauner led the team with 21 digs and Anna Wolf collected the Eagles' lone block of the evening. Overall the Central defense held the Vikings to a .057 hitting percentage and 22 errors. 

CMU will pack up and hit the road once again for a matchup against Benedictine College Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Atchison, Kansas. The Eagles took the first matchup between the two schools in straight sets back on Sept. 29 in Fayette.
