KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the second straight week, a Central Methodist volleyball player was named Heart Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week as Jordan Wolfe (JR/Camdenton, Mo.) picked up the first weekly award of her college volleyball career, the conference office announced Monday.
Wolfe led the Eagles to a pair of sweeps and a four-set win this week, helping them remain perfect in conference play while pushing them to the top of the standings. She finished the week with a .384 hitting percentage, 29 kills (2.9 kills per set), and five blocks.
The Eagles picked up a pair of wins last week over teams on the fringe of the national rankings, as Evangel and Ottawa were both receiving votes in the latest poll. Wolfe slammed a week-high 14 kills in the match-up against the Braves on Saturday afternoon.
Central has yet to find its equal in conference action, as the Eagles have raced out to a perfect 9-0 conference mark in the midst of a 13-game winning streak.
The Eagles will put that record on the line with a game against Missouri Valley on Tuesday night inside Puckett Field House. The theme is "Couch Night" and the game is set to begin at 7 pm.
