With the loss, Central Methodist falls to 1-4 on the season and 0-1 in Heart of America Athletic Conference action. With the victory, MidAmerica Nazarene who is currently receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Poll improves to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.

The first set was the closest of the match. The Eagles kept it close with the Pioneers as the two teams hit around the 20% mark and CMU had 11 kills to Mid-America's 14 kills. In the end, MNU pulled away to take the first set by a score of 21-25.
�
Following the first set, the Pioneers settled in while the Eagles struggled. Mid-America won the final two sets by scores of 17-25 and 18-25 for the victory.

Central Methodist was led by Darcy Latham, who finished with nine kills and nine digs. Savvy Hughes led the team in assists with 10.
�
The Eagles will stay on the road, as they travel south to Florida for a weekend tournament in Lake Wales. CMU will play in a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday before returning home for their first home match of the season. William Penn University comes to town Wednesday September 9th at 7pm, and you can catch all of the action inside of Puckett Field House.
