With the split, CMU earns their first victory in 2015 and moves to 1-3 overall on the year.

In the first match of the day, Tabor dominated the Eagles. The Bluejays won the first set 25-19 and then would go on to win the second set 25-21, before closing out the match in the third set with a 25-22 victory.
�
The second match of the day was a competitive one for CMU, as they battled with the College of the Ozarks. In a tight first set, the Eagles dug deep and came out victorious 27-25. The Bobcats surprised CMU in the second set and won 25-21. CMU kept fighting in this back-and-forth battle and won the third set 25-21. But once again the Bobcats came roaring back to even the match at two after their 25-23 victory in the fourth set.

Central Methodist had had enough, and closed out the match in the fifth set by a decisive 15-9 margin. The Eagles were led by Darcy Latham, who finished with a team best 16 kills and two digs in the victory.
Following the matches on Saturday, the All-Invitational Team was selected, and Marina Alves from CMU was named to the team.

Central Methodist remains on the road, as they begin conference play this Wednesday at MidAmerica Nazarene University. The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm. The Eagles first home match comes on September 9th, when William Penn University comes to town at 7pm inside of Puckett Field House.
