CANTON, Mo. - Down two games, Central Methodist's furious rally fell short Monday inside Charles Fieldhouse as the Eagles lost at Culver-Stockton (Mo.) in five games. The Green and Black lost the match by scores of 11-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-17 and 9-15.
Kamrin Gold led Culver-Stockton (18-9, 2-4) on the offensive attack with a double-double, posting 21 kills and 17 digs. Shea Elmore and Abbie Foster each had 14 digs. India Green dished out 47 assists.
Jordan Jackson paced Central Methodist (16-10, 2-5) with 17 kills. Andrea Lopez tallied 16 digs, while Haley Willis added 11. Melody Hanson and Jennifer Long each had seven digs. Hanson came up with a team-high 19 assists, and Kylie Melkersman had 15. Ali Cure recorded two solo blocks and five block assists, all match highs.
Central Methodist travels to Evangel (Mo.) on Tuesday, Oct. 29. First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT.
