CMU gets 1st home win, defeats Stephens

FAYETTE, Mo. - Central Methodist dispatched cross-town foe Stephens (Mo.) in three games Tuesday in Puckett Fieldhouse by scores of 25-12, 25-22 and 25-12.

The Eagles picked up their first home win (1-2) of 2013.

Jordan Jackson led Central Methodist (12-6) with 11 kills. Jennifer Long added seven, while Katie Brecheisen had six.

Long and Haley Willis each had 10 digs. Melody Hanson and Christine Koepke dished out 16 and 12 assists, respectively. Brecheisen posted nine blocks. Willis had three service aces, and Koepke had two.

Central Methodist travels to Avila (Mo.) on Wednesday for a Heart of America Athletic Conference match. First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT.
