Gainesville, Fla. - The Central Methodist Women's Track and Field program had a tremendous showing at the 2025 NAIA Indoor National Championships this weekend in Gainesville, Florida.
For the third consecutive year, the CMU Women posted a top 10 team finish in the final standings, landing this year at No. 9 with 30.50 points.
Individually, Central brings home 10 All-Americans, the most honorees in a single indoor championship under Head Coach Kenny Anderson.
The women were represented by Haley Bellamy (High Jump & Pentathlon), Dayana Montenegro (600m Run), Claireece Cross (Triple Jump), Renee Finke (High Jump & Pentathlon), Diane Ondobo (600m Run), Allena Rowland (600m Run), Parys Smith (60m Hurdles), Joana Vakasobuduru (Pentathlon) and Karli Wolfe (Weight Throw).
Additionally, the 4x400m relay team of Aroa Carballo, Zakiya Porter, Montenegro, Rowland, Vakasobuduru, Ondobo, and Bellamy represented Central in the relays.
Day one of the championship started with a bang, as Central garnered two All-Americans in the multis. Finke and Bellamy placed third and fourth respectively in the pentathlon.
Finke racked up a new personal best and school record 3789 points in the five-event competition. Bellamy was right behind with 3767 points to help Central's team score on day one.
Finke followed with her second All-America honor in 24 hours in the High Jump, as the senior finished in a tie for seventh after clearing a height of 1.71 meters.
Claireece Cross competed in the triple jump, but did not record a mark.
The quartet of Ondobo, Montenegro, Carballo, and Rowland punched their ticket to the 4x400m relay final with a third place finish in the prelims. The group ran a time of 3:48.97 to set a new school record.
In the final Saturday, the group, which featured Vakasobuduru in the third leg, rebroke their school record and earned a bronze medal after placing third in the final with a time of 3:46.88. As a result, Ondobo, Montenegro, Carballo, Vakasobuduru, and Rowland all earned All-America honors for their performances.
Moving into the field events, senior thrower Karli Wolfe capped her career with an All-America finish in the weight throw. The native of Camdenton, Missouri finished fifth in the event with a toss of 18.05 meters, breaking her previous school record set in 2024. Wolfe finishes her CMU career as a three-time NAIA All-American.
Smith competed for the Eagles in the 60m hurdles, running a time of 8.73 seconds in the prelims to finish 15th.
Ondobo and Montenegro went 3-4 in the prelims of the 600m run to advance to the finals Saturday. Montenegro would ultimately finish fourth in the finals, clocking a time of 1:33.32 to earn All-America honors for the fifth time in her CMU career.
Ondobo placed sixth, crossing the finish line in 1:34.87 to also earn All-America honors.
