New Orleans, La. - Central Methodist junior Renee Finke was named the South Central Region Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA.
Finke completes the sweep of both regional honors, as she was also named the Indoor Field Athlete of the Year back in February.
The native of Montgomery City, Missouri earned the award after being recognized as the highest point scorer at the Heart Conference Championships earlier this May in Baldwin City, Kansas.
At the conference championships, Finke tallied 27 total points after placing first in the 100m hurdles and the high jump, placing third in triple jump, and eighth in the 200m dash. She scored 16 points alone in the field events.
Finke is currently ranked second nationally in the high jump at 1.76m (5-9¼) and third in the heptathlon with 4987 points.
Finke and the Eagles are set to compete in the NAIA Outdoor National Championships, beginning Wednesday, May 22 in Marion, Indiana.
