Kansas City, Mo. - After another stellar showing at the Heart of America Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships, the CMU Women's Track & Field program brought home two superlative award winners.
Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Kenny Anderson was named the Women's Indoor Coach of the Year for the third-straight season. George Robinson was tabbed as the Assistant Coach of the Year.
Anderson was recongized by the conference after leading the women's program to their second straight indoor conference championship. The Eagles finished the meet with 179 total points, just edging MNU who tallied 175 points.
Altogether, Anderson coached five lady Eagles' to Heart Conference Championship finishes in their respective events. In his three seasons leading the program, Coach Anderson has led the women to two top-two finishes, including back-to-back titles in both 2022 and 2023.
Robinson is currently in his second season at Central, leading the distance and mid-distance squads for the Eagles. His athletes accounted for 67 of the 179 total points scored at the Heart Championship, which included first-place finishes in both the women's 600m and 3,000m race walk.
Central has qualified 21 total athletes for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, set to take place March 2-4 in Brookings, S.D.
