Kansas City, Mo. - 11 members of the Central Methodist indoor track and field program qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championships, set to take place March 3-5 on the campus of Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D.
The men's side will be represented by three athletes including, Taylor Bottomley (weight throw & shot put), Brennan Moots (60-meter hurdles) and Parker Yager (Pole Vault).
For the women, the Eagles are represented by eight athletes; Megan Aubuchon (60-meter hurdles), Kaitlyn Weber (Triple Jump), Lilian Patterson (3000-meter racewalk), Carter Hawkins (Pole Vault), Jessica Bailey (4x400-meter relay), Rhakala Blackmon (4x400-meter relay), Dayana Montenegro (600-meter run & 4x400-meter relay), and Kailey Johnson (60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles & 4x400-meter relay).
Grand View (Iowa) and Marian (Ind.) both qualified the highest number of student-athletes with 21 for the men, and Indiana Tech led the way for the women with 30 total qualifiers.
Overall, eight of the 11 athletes represented by CMU were crowned conference champions at the Heart Indoor Conference Championships Feb. 19-20.
