Pella, Iowa - Three more Eagles hit national quilifying standards in their respective events at the Dutch Holiday Preview in Pella, Iowa on Friday.
On the women's side, sophomore Kailey Johnson won the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.16 seconds. She also hit the national qualifying standard during the preliminary heat in a new personal best of 8.99 seconds.
Johnson joined the 4x400m relay team of Dayana Montenegro, Jessica Bailey, and Rhakala Blackmon, who took home first place in a time of 4:05.96, nearly eight seconds better than the next fastest time.
Jada Gaines posted a personal best of 7.92 seconds in the 60-meter dash to take home first place. Montenegro finished second, while Carter Hawkins rounded out the top three finishers with a time of 8.16. Hawkins also won the women's pole vault with a final mark of 2.90 meters.
Renee Finke claimed a second place finish in the high jump at 1.59 meters.
On the men's side, Parker Yager cleared the men's pole vault in 4.65 meters, hitting the 'B' qualifying standard for nationals to ultimately win the event. Brennan Moots placed first in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.38 seconds, hitting the 'B' standard to qualify for nationals.
Central will next compete in the 2022 Friends Invitational Saturday, Jan. 8 in Wichita, Kan.
