Barreto Collects Heart Offensive Player of the Week Honors for Fourth Time

Barreto Collects Heart Offensive Player of the Week Honors for Fourth Time

Kansas City, Mo. - For the fourth time in 2025, Central Methodist junior forward Mariana Barreto was named the Heart of America Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday.

The native of Valencia, Venezuela, had another solid week of play, producing four goals and adding an assist to her stat line. The highlight of the week came in Sunday's 9-0 win over Mount Mercy, as Barreto tallied her fourth hat trick of the year against the Mustangs.

Barreto now has a staggering 22 goals in just 15 matches this season.

The No. 14 Eagles are currently 12-1-2 and 10-0-1 in the Heart of America, sitting in first place in the regular season standings with 31 total points.

Central will next host Park University for Senior Night Saturday, Oct. 25, at 5:00 p.m. at Davis Field.
