Kansas City, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Soccer program enters the 2025 campaign ranked No. 18 in the preseason edition of the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll.
Additionally, the Eagles are ranked second in the Heart Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Other Heart programs ranked or featured in the national preseason poll are No. 11 Missouri Valley and No. 15 MidAmerica Nazarene.
Central enters the 2025 season after a solid 2024 campaign that saw them finish with a 16-4-1 record, a Heart Tournament Runner Up finish, and their eighth straight trip to the national tournament.
CMU returns 12 players from the 2024 squad, highlighted by Heart First Team All-Conference selection, Mariana Barreto. The junior forward recorded 17 goals last season, with five being game winners.
Central welcomes 13 new players to this year's team, which includes five freshmen and eight transfers.
CMU begins its season against Stephens College Thursday, August 21, in Columbia, Mo.
