Fayette, Mo. - The No. 8 Central Methodist Women's Soccer team clinched its fourth consecutive Heart of America Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship Monday afternoon, defeating the Mount Mercy Mustangs 6-0 at Davis Field. 

The Eagles finish the regular season with a 15-2-1 overall record and an unblemished 11-0-1 mark in Heart action. Central also secured its 50th straight win at home and have earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Heart Tournament this week. 

Central scored five first-half goals, beginning with Roneisha Frank in the 10th minute following a deflected ball from the Mount Mercy goalkeeper. Sandra Jakobsen notched her 10th goal of the season just two minutes later, followed by Frank in the 24th minute. 

The final two goals of the first half came via Samantha Minkes and Celine Witt. Central would enter the halftime break with a 5-0 lead. The final goal of the match came off the foot of Sandra Jakobsen in the 55th minute of play.

Central tallied 36 total shots, including 16 on frame, led by Frank with nine. Both Frank and Jakobsen picked up a brace while Witt and Minkes each recorded a goal. 

CMU will host No. 8 seeded Park University in the Heart Tournament Quarterfinals Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Davis Field. The Eagles are seeking their fourth consecutive Heart Tournament Championship.
