Riesenbeck Tabbed as Heart Defensive Player of the Week

Kansas City, Mo. - For the first time in 2022, senior defender Laura Riesenbeck was named the Heart Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday.

Riesenbeck led the No. 8 nationally ranked Eagles to a 2-0 record this past week with victories over Evangel and Grand View.

The senior scored two goals and registered an assist, while helping lead the Eagles to a 6-0 shutout victory over Evangel Wednesday.

Riesenbeck and the Eagles currently sit atop the Heart Conference standings with a 5-0-1 record. Central will host Park University Saturday, Oct. 8 at 5:00 p.m. at Davis Field.
