Kansas City, Mo. - Posting eight consecutive wins including five straight shut outs, Central Methodist women's soccer remained at No. 5 in this week's edition of the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 poll.
Other Heart programs featured in the Top 25 include No. 16 Missouri Valley College and No. 22 Benedictine.
The Eagles boast an overall record of 11-1 and an 8-0 mark in conference play. Central's only loss so far this season was a 2-1 defeat to No. 6 Marian back on Sept. 8 in St. Louis.
Senior midfielder Andrea Villar has tallied a team-high and new career-high 17 goals, ranking her No. 4 in all of the NAIA. Teammate Sandra Jakobsen has dished out 13 total assists through 12 matches this season, good enough for No. 2 in the nation.
Overall, Central has outscored its opponents 49-2, averaging more than four goals and 23 shots/game.
The Eagles travel north to face Graceland University Saturday, Oct. 16 at 6:00 p.m. in Lamoni, Iowa.

Poll Methodology
- The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) and Unaffiliated Groups.
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low ratings) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appears on.
- Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes."
