Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The No. 8 Central Methodist women's soccer team used seven first half goals to earn an 11-0 road victory over Mount Mercy Saturday afternoon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

With the win, Central improves to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Heart, while the Mustangs fall to 2-3 and 0-2 in conference play. The 11-0 shutout marks the sixth clean sheet for the Eagles in regular season conference action dating back to Nov. 4, 2020. 

Senior midfielder Andrea Villar led the offense with four goals, marking the third multi-goal scoring game this season for the Madrid, Spain native. 

Marcella Helena and Sandra Jakobsen each collected a brace with two goals paired with three assists. Laura Riesenbeck, Kylie Campbell and Roneisha Frank each scored once. 

Overall, the Central offense recorded 25 shots with 21 coming on frame, compared to just one shot for the Mustangs. 

Central continues road play with a matchup against Evangel University Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 5:00 p.m. in Springfield, Mo.
