No. 7 Eagles cruise past Missouri Baptist, 12-0

No. 7 Eagles cruise past Missouri Baptist, 12-0

Fayette, Mo. - The No. 7 Central Methodist women's soccer team rolled past Missouri Baptist 12-0, Saturday night at Davis Field.

With the win, Central improves to 3-0 overall, while MBU falls to 0-4. It is the largest win for Central since a 14-0 win over Stephens College back on Feb. 23 of 2021.

Senior captain Andrea Villar led the Eagles' offense with a hat trick, scoring goals in the 7th, 47th, and 59th minute. Roneisha Frank and Marcella Helena each collected a brace, their first goals of 2021.

Kitti Torok, Alicia Zamora, Maria Cervello, Sandra Jakobsen, and Alexis Ashmore all got on the score sheet with a goal apiece. The Central offense racked up 31 total shots, including 21 on goal, while holding the Spartans to zero shots.

Villar also added two assists to go along with her hat trick as did Sandra Jakobsen.

Central continues non-conference action with a neutral site matchup against No. 4 Marian, Wednesday Sept. 8 in St. Louis, Mo.
