Jakobsen named to 2020 NAIA Women’s Soccer All-Tournament Team

Kansas City, Mo. - After leading her team to the deepest postseason run in school history, freshman forward Sandra Jakobsen was named to the 2020 Women's Soccer All-Tournament team, as announced by the national office Monday night.

The team is comprised of 13 players represented by six different schools from around the country including; William Carey (Miss.), Keiser (Fla.), Spring Arbor (Mich.), Central Methodist, Marian (Ind.), and Martin Methodist (Tenn.)

Jakobsen, a native of Svendborg, Denmark, becomes the first player in team history to be named to the all-tournament team. She finished the national championship with six total shots and two shots on goal. Jakobsen also picked up an assist in Central's PK victory over John Brown on April 27 in the first round.

Jakobsen was tabbed as the Heart Freshman of the Year and a first-team all-conference performer in 2020. She finishes her freshman campaign ranked No. 5 in the NAIA in total assists (15), total points (55), and No. 6 in goals (20).
