FAYETTE, Mo. – Goals from Anika Kallash (JR/Troy, Mo.) and Judith Sainz (SR/Pamplona, Spain) were all that the Central Methodist women's soccer program needed as it cruised to a 2-0 victory over Missouri Baptist on Saturday evening.

The Eagles showcased an aggressive offensive attack as they outshot the Spartans 22-3, placing 11 attempts on frame. Kallash, Sainz, Zoe Jessen (SO/League City, Texas), Elly Boothe (JR/Silex, Mo.), and Nely Martinez (JR/Collado Villalba, Spain) spread the threat as they each posted multiple attempts in the contest.

Central peppered the MBU goalkeeper early and often, but their opening goal came in the 6th minute off a cross from Sainz that was chipped in by Kallash. The second goal came at the 50-minute mark as Sainz intercepted a misplaced pass from the MBU keeper in a goal kick, launching a shot from 35 yards out for the 2-0 lead.

Missouri Baptist had just two shots on goal in the contest, both of which were saved by Sheila Sanchez (FR/Castellon, Spain) U

Up next for the squad is a home match against Lindenwood-Belleville on August 28th. The starting time is set for 5 PM on Davis Field.
