LEAVENWORTH, Kan. ---- The Central Methodist women's soccer team won on the road 6-0 against the University of St. Mary Tuesday afternoon, following a hat-trick from sophomore Judith Sainz (SO/Pamplona, Spain).
NOTES
• The Eagles remain undefeated with a record of 5-0-1.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Sainz completed her second hat trick in as many games to lead the Eagles offensively.
• Elly Boothe (FR/Silex, Mo.) added two unassisted goals in to tonight's match with one assist.
• America Garcia (JR/Surprise, Ariz.) added her first two assist of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 14th minute of the first half, Kallash connected with Sainz to give Central Methodist the early 1-0 lead.
• Entering the 29th minute, Sainz scores on an unassisted free-kick for a 2-0 scoreline.
• Ten minutes before the half ended, another set piece allowed Brasil to find Sainz for her third goal of the match.
• Early in the second half, Kallash found the back of the net off an assist from Boothe.
• Boothe scored the final two goals of the match, which were both assisted by Garcia to give Central Methodist the 6-0 road victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Eagles outshot the Spires 24-3, and placed 14 shots on goal.
• The Eagles held the advantage in corner kicks with four, while the Spires acquired two.
UP NEXT
• The Eagles will return to action this Saturday, September 16th, when they host No. 3 Benedictine College in a key Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
