Hat-Trick Leads (RV) Women's Soccer in Road Win

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. ---- The Central Methodist women's soccer team won on the road 6-0 against the University of St. Mary Tuesday afternoon, following a hat-trick from sophomore Judith Sainz (SO/Pamplona, Spain).

NOTES
• The Eagles remain undefeated with a record of 5-0-1.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Sainz completed her second hat trick in as many games to lead the Eagles offensively.
Elly Boothe (FR/Silex, Mo.) added two unassisted goals in to tonight's match with one assist.
America Garcia (JR/Surprise, Ariz.) added her first two assist of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 14th minute of the first half, Kallash connected with Sainz to give Central Methodist the early 1-0 lead.
• Entering the 29th minute, Sainz scores on an unassisted free-kick for a 2-0 scoreline.

Ten minutes before the half ended, another set piece allowed Brasil to find Sainz for her third goal of the match.

Early in the second half, Kallash found the back of the net off an assist from Boothe.

• Boothe scored the final two goals of the match, which were both assisted by Garcia to give Central Methodist the 6-0 road victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Eagles outshot the Spires 24-3, and placed 14 shots on goal.
• The Eagles held the advantage in corner kicks with four, while the Spires acquired two.

UP NEXT
• The Eagles will return to action this Saturday, September 16th, when they host No. 3 Benedictine College in a key Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
