With the loss, the Eagles fall to 0-1 on the young season, while Mount Mercy improves to 2-1 on the season.

The Mustangs got on the board first Tuesday 27 minutes into the contest, when Megan Hall found the back of the net to make it 1-0 in favor of Mount Mercy. The goal was unassisted.
�
After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, Mount Mercy didn't waste any time in the second half, as just 59 seconds into the second half Cally Salter scored a goal assisted by Annie Feltes to make it 2-0 in favor of the Mustangs.

Central Methodist tried to fight back. The Eagles got on the scoreboard for the first time in 2015, when Nicki Noreen found Ana Gonzalez for a goal to make the score 2-1 in favor of Mount Mercy. CMU was unable to score again and Mount Mercy would go on to win the game by the final of 2-1.
�
CMU continues their season opening roadtrip this weekend, with games at Tabor College on Friday and Friends University on Saturday. The Eagles open the home portion of their schedule a week from today, September 1st when Hannibal-LaGrange comes to town. Game time is set for 5pm at Davis Field.
