KANSAS CITY - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Central Methodist's Megan Batusic, Jordie Retzlaff and Kelsey Vanzant are�among 578 women's soccer student-athletes that have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.
Vanzant, a senior midfielder from Troy, Mo., earns the honor for a second-straight season.
Batusic is a junior midfielder from Warrensburg, Mo. Retzlaff is a junior midfielder from O'Fallon, Mo.
Marian (Ind.) and Indiana Wesleyan lead all programs with 11 individuals each on the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
