HILLSBORO, Kan. - Central Methodist ran its unbeaten streak to nine games Tuesday after a 1-1 draw with Tabor (Kan.). The nine-game unbeaten streak marks the second longest in school history for the Eagles, who went unbeaten through a school-record first 15 games of 2011.
Fernanda Ramirez found Jamie Krediet in the 48th minute, who beat Bluejays' netminder Kalee Cross and scored her sixth goal this season to give Central Methodist (6-0-3) a 1-0 lead.
Tabor (6-2-1) tied the match in the 58th minute when Ashtyn Stephens found the back of the net with help from Jessica�Renzelman.
Eagles' Goalkeeper Sam Savio (6-0-3) made three saves in 110 minutes.
Cross recorded 12 saves in the match, playing 110 minutes.
The Eagles outshot Tabor 24-9, including 21-4 after halftime. The Green and Black held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
Central Methodist opens Heart of America Athletic Conference play Saturday, Oct. 4, at Davis Field against MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) at 11:45 a.m. CT.
