Leeser, Brick take HAAC Women's Soccer POW awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. Central Methodist forward Kayla Leeser and goalkeeper Meredith Brick were chosen the Heart ofAmerica Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, on Mondayafternoon.

Leeser scored in all three matches for the Eagles last week as Central Methodist posted a 2-1 record. A seniorfrom St. Peters, Mo., she finished the week with four goals, including a two-goal performance in a 3-2 win over Avila. Sheleads the Eagles with 10 goals, which is good for seventh in the conference.

Brick appeared in two of the three matches for the Eagles last week, logging 45 minutes in each contest. A juniorfrom Chillicothe, Mo., she did not allow a goal against Benedictine-Springfield or MidAmerica Nazarene while recordingfour saves against the Pioneers.

The two players also swept the conference's player of the week awards on Oct. 10, 2011.

The HAAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week will represent the conference for the NAIA awards, whichwill be announced no later than Tuesday afternoon throughout the regular season.
